How to use facebook live stream in Groups

Facebook has finally released live streaming to all of its users and there are some amazing features that any marketer can use. I want to share how to use facebook live stream in Groups. When this came out, it was a little hard to find exactly how to initially stream yourself live into a specific group, so we decided to make it easy for everyone.

The great thing about streaming live into groups is that you do NOT need to be the owner of the group in order to stream to that group…so if you are a member of a group, you can easily get in the front of anybody in that group.

Here is what you need to do.

1.Open the facebook app on your Mobile Device

On your mobile phone, you will need to open up the facebook app and then find your group that you want to live stream to. You will find this group hidden under the more tab..see below

5. You are about to go LIVE!

Just before going live, facebook wants to make sure that you are going to broadcast to the right group….  if it is indeed the correct group, go ahead and click on continue….

6. The most important step…

The last step is to make sure that you have a title…now this is SUPER important for any marketer. The words you use in the title will determine whether you get people actually watching your stream. Of course , if it is in a private group, you are restricted to members of that group, but if you ever want to stream live to everyone, then these keywords are critical. Facebook also suggested that your live streams are also available to be found in search, these titles will determine whether people find them or not. So , make sure your keywords are exactly what people will expect to find on this live stream.
